- In fact, quarterback is the only position to have repeated as Super Bowl MVP, and no MVP has been able to win a Super Bowl more than 5 seasons after their previous victory.
- The Average winning score of a Super Bowl is 30, with the average losing score being 16.
- The most frequent winning score is 27, and the most frequent losing score is 17
- The combined winning teams have outscored the combined losing teams 1,455 to 757, or a score differential of 698 points (Almost makes Super Bowl XLVIII look not so bad…almost).
- The first 11 Super Bowls were hosted by college football stadiums.
- Because every list needs an even number, In the numbers 1, 4, and 5 biggest blowouts of Super Bowl history, the Broncos have been outscored a total of 140 to 28. Yes, you saw that right, 28. In those three loses they failed score more than 10 points in a single game.
